Pivot Bar that Fits 15-192 Cam

A quick learner from Virgina says:
Hi. I think I might have Simonton window but I can't be sure. Most of my windows have broken shoes. I purchased the 15-192 pivot shoe but the pivot bars I have don't fit. They're too big. I tried my old cams in the shoe (right in foto) but I can't get the bars down past the actual plastic piece of the shoe to mate them with the cam. The bars are about 2 7/8 as pictured. I'm not sure 26-175 bars would work. Do you have a suggestion on suitable bars that will fit the 15-192 Cam? Thank you very much.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the 15-192. The Simonton version of this shoe does indeed have a differently shaped metal cam, and we typically advise swapping out your old cam with the one in the new shoe to ensure pivot bar compatibility. If this doesn't work, however, another thought would be to try shaving down the collar of the pivot bar a bit so it fits. If that also doesn't work--if the pin is simply too big--the replacement for this pivot bar should be the Simonton 26-336; just look over the dimensions to confirm. Now, this pivot bar won't fit the 15-192, but you can either swap out the cams like I just described, or shave down the collar. Sorry for all the hassle, and let me know if you have any other questions.
