Pivot Lock Shoe

Handy Person from Oyster Bay, NY 11771

I am waiting for a jam spreader to arrive, but was able to take some rough measurements.  I have tried to perform image based searches for this pivot shoe but cannot find anything like it.  There is no manufacturer information anywhere on the window either.  Is it possible to identify the part on your end?

17/32" Depth

1-1/4" Width (Hardest to measure so I am not 100%)

2-7/64" Height.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm confident we can help with this pivot shoe, but we'll need a bit more information.

To start, can you show me a photo of this out of the window? I also recommend that you remeasure it once it's out. These aren't possible to measure accurately while installed.

Can you also show me a photo of the pivot bar that connects to it? Your pivot shoe's cam is atypical for this body style, and seeing the pivot bar will allow me to confirm compatibility for any replacement we offer.

I have uploaded several photos that show the size of the pivot shoe in all dimensions as well as the window.
Window: 23-1/4" x 36"
Pivot Shoe: 1/2" x 2-9/64" x 1-15/64"

Thanks! I recommend our 15-135. This is 1-1/4" wide x 1/2", and while the design is a little different than yours I believe it should work. Pivot shoes basically need to fit three criteria to be used as a replacement:

  • It needs to connect to the balance (our 15-135 is compatible with spiral balances, which is what you have)
  • It needs to connect to the pivot bar (our 15-135 has the same cam style as your original)
  • It needs to fit in the track (our dimensions appear to align)

Please let me know if you had any additional questions and I'd be happy to assist you.
