What is the significance to the color of the cam if any? This shoe is black but I?ve seem blue, red, white etc. on your site.

When looking for a replacement pivot shoe, the center colored cam is not an important factor in determining a match. We encourage our customers to focus on the width, height of the housing, as well as the width and height of the color center cam opening that receives the pivot bar. If you would like our advice on a possible replacement, you may send us photos along with measurements and we will offer our best judgement on a replacement.
