Hello,
With the 15-105 Pivot Shoe, what is the proper way to align the cam?
I am trying to replace the cam and pivot bar on a window.
When the opening of the cam is vertical, so you can insert the pivot bar, the shoe is locked, correct? If you are inserting the sash into the shoe when it is horizontal, do you want the shoe to be "unlocked" when the window is moved to vertical? If so, is it just the balance that keeps the window open when vertical?
Thanks in advance.

The cam will lock when it is in the vertical position; that is, with the opening straight up, so as to receive the pivot. This is also the position it takes when you attach the balance to the shoe. The brake shoe faces to the outside of the window, so when you place the sash with the pivot bars into the cam and swing it up, the cam will move with the balance system.
