There are two methods. The first uses a 75-069 jamb spreader to open the jamb and remove the pivot shoe. Here is a photo of the tool and a video on how to use it: Alternate view of 75-069
The second method uses a dremel or file to create a cut-out for the pivot shoe to pop out of. Here is a video on that process, as well: See which of these methods is best for you. |
