Pivot Shoe Demensions and open vs closed cam

Question

Greetings all .... attached are 2 photos .. the metal bracket that the shoe clips into has 2 markings 24C and BS1.

I do not know if the shoe a closed or open cam. How do you identify this aspect of the part?

Hi there Jake.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The shoe shown here has a "closed cam" since you can't see through the back wall of the shoe. The 15-195B has an open cam. See the photos below as a reference.

Note that our 15-195 won't work for your existing metal channel so you'd need a whole new balance, the S795-24 with the 24C stamp option which comes attached with the 15-195. Our balance installs at the top of the window track with a screw so you'll want to make sure yours does as well. If it uses a hook, please let me know! We can still help but it would have to be a custom order.
