Pivot bar

Question

Hi, what would be the best replacement for this part, a pivot bar I think, that broke and fell out of our tilt sash window? I don't know the window brand but it is wood double paned (though vinyl covering the interior of the wood frames).

Is there any other part I need to replace at the same time like the pivot shoe?

Hi Hale,

Thanks for writing in! I am confident we can supply you with a replacement for your existing pivot bar but I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged pivot bar to make the best possible recommendation.

Since the pivot bars have broken in this manner it is likely that you may need to replace either the window balances or the pivot shoe; possibly both. You'll need to examine the other hardware in the window to determine if they need to be replaced.

I'm happy to identify those parts as well. I would just need to see photos of them to identify the correct replacements.
