Pivot bar replacement

Home Owner from Saint Clair, PA
Hello, I am hoping you will be able to help me find a replacement for the pivot bar I need. I am replacing some of my spiral window balances in my tilt windows and saw I have one of these snapped at where it protrudes from the window to hook into the shoe - thus rendering any fixing of the spiral balance useless.

Pictured is a complete one from the opposite side. I have no idea what kind of windows these are besides vinyl (they were there when I moved in). I can't find any markings on it or the window.

I tried pivot bar slocomb (26-129) and while it looked close in size, the wide nub wouldn't come close to fitting in the window - nor would it fit the 1/2 pivot shoes I have.

Any suggestions? I'm willing to try a few if you have any you think may work. Thank you!

Hello there. I see the issue. You have the old style Slocomb tilt window pivot bar. At some point, the manufacturer changed the mold to include a ring at the end of the tip, which you can see on the 26-129. We have found that does indeed affect the replacement properly fitting the pivot shoe. What have two suggestions: first, you could  try filing off the "ring" around the end of the replacement pivot bar so it can fit your tilt shoe cam; just note that modified items cannot be returned for refunds. Alternatively, you could remove the existing pivot shoes and show us photos, and tell us its exact width and thickness. We may be able to find a substitute for it that works with the 26-129
