Pivot for bifold door metal spring loaded 4&1/2 " long.

Home Owner from Aurora co

I need the top pivot which stabilizes the door . The pivot guide pin is OK.

Enclosed is a pic.

Hopefully this will clarify .

I notice that you only provided the length of the pin and did not include the thickness of the pin nor do we see what the tip of the pin actually looks like. From what we can see, it appears you may have a Peachtree/Floataway bifold door. See if you can replace it with the new style top pivot pin, our 21-029

Part 21-029 is not a match.

the spring broke and lost.

The metal rod has a diameter about 3/8 " . The top end is 1/4 " diameter which slides in to the slot ot a bracket in the track & keeps it fixed in .

Enclosed are pictures of the metal rod. Appreciate your help to find the part.

Thank you.

Renu.

From your original photo in your first inquiry, it appeared you had a square hole cut out, hence our suggestion of the 21-029 that could slide through. We were not aware you would need it in a 1/4" tip to fit in the nylon pivot bracket. I am afraid your original pin is not available. We do offer another spring loaded pin with a 1/4" tip, the 21-024. Take a look and see what you think. It has a nylon housing that is 13/32" in diameter with a hook that may fit in your bi-fold door. Compare your part with ours and get back to us with your thoughts.
