Pivot shoe for dual balances

Home Owner from New York
Hi,

Our double hung windows have two balances on each side of the sash (so 4 spring balances total per sash). The pivot shoes on some of the sashes are broken. I've attached the best picture I can get without removing the sash (which I didn't want to do until I have the replacement parts in case I am unable to put it back in with the broken shoe. I also am attaching a picture of the double spring balances in case that is helpful.

Do you have any idea what pivot shoes these are?

Thank you!

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but, unfortunately, we won't be able to identify your hardware while it is installed. We would need to see your pivot shoe removed from the window and have you write out the exact width and thickness to narrow down your options. Thank you.

I'm not sure if I can do that because I will have an issue if I cannot put the sash back as this is in a high rise building and cannot leave the sash out while I look for a replacement part.

Do you have any pivot shoes that are designed for *two spring balances* as shown in the picture?

Unfortunately, most of our pivot shoes could support two spiral balances, which is why we'll need more information to narrow down your options. As long as the shoe and cam are relatively intact, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to reinstall it until the new parts arrive.

Even if the shoe is too damaged, you could still rest the sash in the frame and lock it until your order arrives, you just wouldn't be able to open the window. In the meantime, you are welcome to look through our selection of replacement shoes here
