Pivot shoe replacement

A home owner from Long Island, NY says:
How do I replace the pivot shoe? Do I have to cut a slot in the frame to remove and install the new pivot shoe?

Thanks for posting! First, I would check your jamb to see if there is a cut-out for your pivot shoe. You should be able to just slide it right out; please refer to the video below for an example.

If you do not have a cut-out, please take a look at our 75-069 Jamb Spreaders. Would these work for you?
