Pivot shoe substitute

Question

I have aluminum windows which use the pivot shoe like your part number 15-045.

3/8x1x1-7/8"

Many problems with spiral sash balance coming loose from the pivot shoe; it's a poorly designed shoe.

Is there any other shoe from a different manufacturer that will substitute?

We don't have any other shoe exactly like the 15-045, no. Are you making sure to give the spiral tension before locking it in the pivot shoe? Without appropriate tension, it might pop out like you describe. Check out the video below to see how to properly charge a spiral balance.
