Pivot show damage

A quick learner from Rockville MD says:
Looks like I have to replace the pivot shoe, and reattach to the coil assembly? Would you please recommend the correct parts for this and necessary tools? I'm guessing I also need to remove the coil assembly to reattach the shoe, correct?

Hi there!

Yes, you are correct! We have a few videos on how to remove pivot shoes from your window which you may find helpful. I'll attach them below.

As for your pivot shoe, take a look at our 15-180 which is used with the Series 190 coil spring. We also carry the 15-181 double coil support detent clip. Look over our dimensions and compare them to an undamaged pivot shoe to see how they match up.

To determine the correct spring strength, you can remove and weigh your window sash and divide the precise weight by the number of coils in the window.
