Pivot and lock??

Just wondering exactly what I would need to buy to fix these windows

Thanks for writing in! Since the pivot bar appears to be damaged, I can confirm that this is one piece of hardware that would absolutely need to be replaced. I'm happy to identify the replacement you need but I will need to see an undamaged pivot bar to determine the correct replacement.

In regard to the balances, you may just need to add tension to them. However, since the pivot bars are broken, it is likely that all of the hardware might need to be replaced. If the shoe brake does not engage with the window channel, you'll likely need to replace it, as well.

Ultimately, to determine if the pivot shoes or the balances need to be replaced, you'll need to examine them and how they interact with the window. If you do decide to replace all of the hardware, I'll need to know the dimensions for the thickness of the shoe, the length of the balance tube, the diameter of the tube, and the tip color on the balance.
