Plastic balance cover is broken

Question

Hello, the plastic cover on my window balance are broken.  3/8 inside diameter  and 7/16 on the outside. Would you guys recommend replacing the entire window balance or just the plastic. Window brand. Alcoa model  2Q92. 1Q92.

Thanks for posting! When measuring for the diameter of the balance, you'll need to be sure to confirm the measurement of the outer plastic tube. This measurement should be either 3/8" or 9/16", so it would be a good idea to double check this to confirm the exact replacement you need.

If you are also looking to replace the tilt window latch, I'll need to know the length and width of the top of it. It's difficult to get an accurate measurement from photos of the measuring tape, so I'll need to see them written out.
