Plastic sweep for the top of wooden double hung windows/

Quick Learner from Roswell, GA

I have 22 wooden double hung windows in my house built in 2024. At the top of the wooden frame a plastic bar with a sweep for the upper/outer window helps to seal the outer window. It is seated between the 2 windows when both are fully up. On all but 2 the sweep is worn off, and I am looking for it. I will send more pictures shortly. Any help with the manufacturer and where to get them will be helpful. You have already provided me with the balance shoes and bulb insulators.

Thanks

John

Hi there John.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we don't sell a replacement for the weatherstrip shown here. We aren't sure who the window's manufacturer is but contacting them would be your best bet, whoever they may be. If the house was recently built this year, the company should still be around. You'd have to get in touch with the builder to see if they have any information. I am very sorry that we can't be of help with this repair; please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.
