I recently purchased the Swisco 82-081 handle set for my sliding glass door. Upon installation, we realized that the mortise lock we had, would not work with this handle. The handle lever arm had a square hole and the mortise lock I had had a slat.
I then purchased the Swisco 82-269 mortise lock. It just came in today and I tried to install it. When I screw the 82-269 mortise lock into the aluminum piece from the door, the square hole for the handle lever arm is behind the aluminum door piece.
I don't know what to do!!
