Please help me identify balance

A home owner from Stockton, CA says:
I'm looking for a replacement channel balance.

Length 25"
Width 1/2"
Depth 9/16"
The edges of the channel are hemmed. I don't know if hemmed edges matter or not, please let me know.

Top Guide

Thanks for posting! Based on this information, I recommend that you take a look at our S385-25 channel balance. Please compare the dimensions of its attachments to your own. Does it look about right? I would also recommend the 2440 option, which can carry a window sash weight of 19 through 24 pounds. Double check to see if your sash's weight falls within that range.

Please keep in mind that the weight range information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.

The S385-25 looks the same but does not have the hemmed edges like the one being replaced. Does the hemmed edges makes any difference? Would like to know before I place my order.

I do not believe that the hemmed edges matter. I think it's just a matter of who the manufacturer of the metal channel is. It still serves the same purpose.
