PlyGem Brush Pile weatherstripping with a fin

I need to replace all of the weatherstripping on PlyGem single hung windows. I know I need brush pile weatherstripping with a fin seal, but I cannot determine how to remove the old weatherstripping. It appears to be sealed within the door. I have tried to pull it and slide it, but it will not budge. I removed the window latch and there is no apparent way to slide it out of the window. How can I remove this weatherstripping to determine if I need a tracked or adhesive replacement?

Thanks for reaching out to us! It sounds like you may need to cut out the pile. Our video below will detail the process. Once you have an undamaged sample removed, get back to us with the written-out pile height and base width. That should help us narrow down your options.
