Plygem Double Hung Window Type 1000/DH

A quick learner from Kauai says:

Hi these Plygem double hung Type 1000 DH windows were produced in 2011 looking for replacement surface mounted window tilt latches approx dimensions 2 5/8 by 5/8 I can't tell how deep they are.

Also needing new coil balances as shown in the pictures. The numbers on the white cover are 5 365 638 and on the other side 5.232.208. We do not have a place to slide out/remove this part. Do I need to cut a piece of the edging out?

Hello there!

I recommend you start by taking a look at the 26-243 and 26-244 tilt latches. Remove an undamaged one from the sash and compare our specifications with yours to see how they align.

We'd be happy to help ID your coil balances but we would need to see an undamaged pivot shoe removed from the window track to compare to our inventory. If there aren't any cutouts in the window already, you will need to make one as shown in the video below.

A quick learner from Kauai says:
Thank you. Here are pictures of our pivot shoe and coil. We believe the coil is S160 35" #9 lb and the shoe we believe could be is 15-228 can you please confirm. Then we'll be ready to order parts.

Thanks for getting back to us. If the specifications align, I agree that our 15-228 would be a great match. This uses the 1/2" Series 160 and 3/8" Series 165 depending on the width of the coil band on your old springs. If they're 1/2" wide, see the 15-150S single coil support.

A quick learner from Kauai says:
Thank you. I don't know if you were able to see but this is what was stamped on our coil and it was half inch thick so what is it you recommend? And do you recommend changing coil single support? Can you confirm can you deliver to Kauai??

Emily from SWISCO responded:

If your coil spring band is 1/2" wide and stamped with the number 9, you would want the S160-9 9-pound coil spring. You can re-use your old coil support if it's in working order.
