I am trying to replace a folding handle with cover. The truth folding handle with cover product code 39-376 appears to be a match. The metal rod extending up into the handle on the existing window is 1.8 cm or approximately .71 inches. Will the folding handle in your catalog fit my existing mechanism? Thanks for your help.

The 39-376 is a Truth product and is made to fit a spline diameter of 11/32". That's a lot smaller than .71", which is actually pretty huge as far as splines go. Can you confirm the diameter of the spline? Can you also show us a picture of what you have now?
