Question

Thank you. I received my order, however the sash stops received are slightly thicker than the ones that came with my windows (see attached picture, original on left) and don't fit into the openings. Everything else about them looks spot on. Do you have a different, thinner version of these sash stops?

Attached are some additional photos. The original is on the left in them. Also is a picture of the hole in the sash where they should be. The new ones are just slightly too thick and don't fit into the slots. I tried shaving a bit off the outer edge of the sash opening but it still didn't fit: something inside is also blocking it. Next thing I was going to try is to file/sand down the new ones to see if then they would fit, but I thought I'd check to see if you carried them in a different size. Yours are listed at 5/32" thick and I probably need 3/32".

I'm afraid that we don't have an identical version of the 26-338 that's a little thinner. There was a vent lock made a long time ago that might meet those specifications, but they haven't been available in years.

I think your best bet would be to try sanding the side of our 26-338 down a little. However, keep in mind that if you alter the part in this way, it cannot be returned for a refund. See our return policy here for more information.
