My door handle falls off about every two weeks because the screws are stripped and not getting enough bite. The 82-080 matches my door handle exactly with the correct holes but the width of my door is 13/4. The description says fasteners up to 13/8 thick?
Can I get longer screws or am I reading the description wrong?
I agree that the 82-080 is the best match for your existing handle set, though it is not designed to work on doors as thick as yours. We also don't sell longer screws.
My recommendation is to reuse your original screws and thumb lever. You'll have to reuse both in order to ensure the new handle is functional. That should be fine since it sounds like the only issues you had with the old one was that the screw bosses are stripped.
