Push out crank broke off

The piece we use to push out and pull in this shower window has rusted off from the piece attached to the window. How can I fix this?

Does this part come in different lengths or can the length be adjusted? The one we need to replace is only 8 inches long. Thanks.

Unfortunately we do not have a smaller size of the 39-040. The 10-3/4" length is the best we can supply. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
