Question about the weight for S385-27 sash

The side of my sash says 26 4 GN Caldwell. How can I tell how much tension I need ? I do not have a scale.

Thanks for reaching out to us! If your balance is stamped 26 4 then I would recommend the 2640 strength option. A pair of balances with this option will support a sash weighing 19 to 26 pounds. If you wanted to verify this option is correct for the sash, you would have to weigh the window on a scale. I'm afraid that's the only way to confirm.
