Questions about the 15-058

(1) Does hinge 15-058 come in different sizes or the shown size is universal for all windows.
(2) How to remove the hinge from the window frame (track), do I need special tool.

Good afternoon! The 10-058 does not come in other sizes, but it's not universal either. There is really only one type that works for one specific window. As for how to replace it, they used to be riveted on but now they just screw it in. No special tool should be necessary.

Good response, however half of the hinge is riveted to the sash frame that could replaced with screw, but the other half slides freely in the side track that houses the sash balance. The question here, is how to remove this half of the hinge from the side track.

Try using a thin nail to push the existing pin that holds the hinge together up and out.
