RE: Balance Rod Sizes

Question

I think I need the S351 balance rods. Bottom shoe measures 1" - 1-1/16" ; DEFINITELY NOT 1-3/32". One set has 1620 stamped on the rail, other pair has 2430 stamped on the rail. Length of 1620 rail is 17" and length of 2430 rail is 25".

Hello,

It looks like you have either our S351, with a 15-002 bottom attachment, or S390, with a 15-001 bottom attachment. Take a look at the image below to determine which balance you'll need. It's possible that the shoe may have worn down a bit over time. If it's over 1", you most likely would need the S390

You'll also need a 1620 spring strength option for your 17" replacement balances and 2430 options for the longer 25" balances. Thank you!
