REPLACEMENT HANDLES FOR PATIO DOORS

Hello: I have 2 SilverLine sliding patio doors that need the handles replaced. I am hoping that you can confirm that your product 82-035 is the one I need before I purchase. I've attached two pictures hoping that you can see the opening for the lock mechanism, which only has one opening. Thank you.

From looking at the photos, yours looks a bit more like the 82-003 Sliding Door Handle. What is the thickness of your door? You may need a longer locking spindle, which I believe is no longer available. Do you still have your original spindle? You may be able to reuse it.

Take a look at the 82-003 Door Handle and compare it to your original.

Thanks for your prompt response. The doors are 1 1/2" thick. I believe the locking spindles are intact and can be re-used on both doors, so all I really need is the handles. I still believe that the 82-035 is a better match because it is also a neutral handle and can be used to open left or right. I need it to open to the left.

Since I am certainly not the expert here, please let me know which one you think I should go with.

We do not recommend the 82-035 Patio Door Handle Set. The 82-035 does not have a spindle, but only has a turn tab that works in conjunction with the 82-218 Mortise Lock.

Thanks again for your help. Are you then recommending the 82-003? Will it work with a door that is 1 1/2 inches thick? Also, can the 003 open left or right? I need to open to the left. Will I be able to use my lock with it?

I am not sure you received my previous email, since I sent from my phone. Can you please tell me if you still think the 82-003 would work for my 1 1/2 inch door? I can reuse the locking mechanism. I just need the handle. It has to be able to open to the left. Do you think that the 82-003 would work?

If your original spindle is in good condition you may be able to use it with the 82-003 Sliding Door Handle.

Keep in mind, however, the 82-003 is only meant to go up to 1 1/4" thickness.
