Re: Need Balancer(s) for S/H window.

Question

I have an older (20 + years) S/H window that I believe was manufactured by M&I Windows and is stamped 2730. The series number on the sash label is "865" and the closest replacement I find for this balancer is perhaps the "385" series. However, the so-called "wings" on the balancer only exist on the block/tackle end, not on the opposite end as appears to be the case with the 385 part. Can you assist in identification and provide an accurate replacement option? THX!

Thanks for your post! The window balance you have reminds me of the S350-28 Channel Balance. Like yours it has a wingless top and a wingless bottom shoe.

You'll need the 2730 stamp.
