Reattaching vent hinges??

I'm reconditioning a badly dammages Anderson awning window from the 60's. I've replaced the plastic piece and am interested in some advice for reattaching the arm to the sliding bar on the side of the window. It was originally attached by rivets. Any thoughts are appreciated.
