Reducing tension for 20-001?

I just received my order of tension springs. They really work well, but... they are a bit too "stiff" and the window is now quite difficult to raise and lower. Is there a way to reduce the tension so that the window will move more easiy? Thanks.

If you installed two on your window sash, try it with just one. I know from personal experience installing these one is sometimes enough tension. You can also try a silicone spray or even a spray polish in the tracks.
