How do you remove old nonfunctional night locks without damaging the window frame?
Attached is a pic of the existing lock slightly deformed from attempts to remove. Also a pic of the part I bought from you to replace the original one. Others of these have tended to be self-removing and installation of those is a breeze.
A putty knife is how I damaged the part trying to remove. But I got concerned about damaging the window frame. The last thing I need is to have to pay for a $300+ window replacement due to trying to remove a $1 part. Any other info available?

Hello,
In order to remove the old 26-362 style vent latch, we do suggest carefully sliding a flat knife (putty knife) under the flange to force it out. Unforutnately, there is no more straightforward way to remove them since the top and bottom clips essentially need to be broken to pop it out of the frame. Thanks for posting!
