Removal of channel balance

Question

I have a non-tilt PGT window that I am trying to remove because the channel balance is stuck. I have watched a couple of your videos and as a result was able to successfully remove the channel balance on the right side. However, the one on the left side still stuck (see photo). It is stuck on that lower plastic piece that I have circles in the second photo. I cannot push it down at all. How can I remove this? After reviewing your photos and inquiry, I believe your 18-015 top sash guide may have broken and caused your S395-26 channel balance to spring up passed the sash. I think I read you mentioning you were able to remove one of your balance. Would that happen to be on the opposite side? Is the sash still in the window?

There is also the possibility of the broken nylon piece either being the top sash guide or the balance shoe. I highly recommend reviewing our video on how to replace the top sash guide if you have not already seen that. I have placed that video on the right hand side of this page.
