Removal of rollers recessed in channel

A home owner from Indiana says:
I was happy to locate the correct rollers on your site. No one else had the Flat Tandem rollers for a fair price (81-151). Do you know what the correct procedure would be to replace them on my door? (See pictures) The channel is very tight and I could not get the old ones past the weather stripping. Also, it seems the rubber seal on the edge of the glass was leaking and caused the old rollers to rust. Any recommendation for replacing or repairing the seal. Thanks!

See if you can use a flat head screw driver to get up under one of the ends of the roller housing and pry it out. You might be able to remove the wool pile to get it out of the way, but you might not be able to reinstall the wool pile once you get it out of the door, so keep that in mind. As for the gasket at the bottom leaking,. I suggest using a type of silicone caulk to help seal out the weather at the bottom.

Job done! I ended up pulling the bottom frame part off with a couple screws and then I was able to slide out the wool pile. It was very tight, but my wife and I were able to pry the old ones out, then pop in the new. We also sealed everything with silicone during reassembly. Glides like it's on ice now! Amazing! Thanks!
