Repl. single-hung window sash counterbalances

Quick Learner from Seattle
I'd like to replace my single-hung window sash counterbalances and was hoping you could identify the part. I've attached pictures. The balances are 21" long (not including attachments). The stamp on them reads 20 D with B.S.I. stamped sideways.

Thanks for the assistance!

Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. The fittings shown here remind me of the 15-193 and 19-038. This isn't a configuration that we stock so this must be a custom order. Can you weigh the window sash on a scale and tell us the precise weight? How many balances are you looking to order? We can draft a price quote from there.

Thanks for doing that research Emily--those look like the right fittings! The sash is 17.2 pounds. There was only one balance before, but that made the window feel sticky. I'd prefer to switch to two. Are there any concerns with that?

No problem! Thank you for getting back to me with the sash weight. Windows are actually designed to have balances on both sides of the window, so that won't be an issue.

To outline this custom balance for you, we'll be using a 21" metal channel with the 15-193 and 19-038 fittings attached as well as the 2040 stamp option. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 15 to 23 pounds.

I'll go ahead and email you a purchase link and price quote for (2) of these balances that you can use to place an order on our website. Let me know if you have any questions!
