What do you mean by the base is it where you crank

The base is the where the handle connects to on the inside of the window. Please review the style and dimensions of the 39-329 and 39-330 operators. Compare the dimensions to confirm a good fit! Also see the 39-232 handle if needed. Let us know if you have any additional questions!
