Replace Discontinued Skylight Operator with 39-379

Question

I have the exact same piece that is broken, but I would like to know if I replace the whole thing with the similar 39-379 operator, could I just put it into the same location and (assuming it lines up) it should work the same? I just want to know if I may need any additional parts & if this is something I can replace myself.

Thanks for posting. It's tough to make out what you have from your photo, but I think I know what this is. The 39-379 is the closest operator we have available, but I cannot guarantee that it will work as a replacement. I don't believe your exact type is made anymore. Using the 39-379 may require some adaptation of your sill to accept the larger body, but I've never done it myself so I cannot be sure.
