Replace Stripped Awning Operator

We need to replace an awning operator that no longer opens/closes the window. Periodically, they become stripped when customers try to open the windows when locked. The piece that is next to the sash is only 4" from end to end. Total length for the mechanism is about 21".

I no longer have any replacement parts and am wondering what you might recommend. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, Dave. Awning operator #39-083 seems like a good replacement. I've ordered two and will hope for the best! I appreciate your assistance.
