Replace broken latch

Question

I have a latch that is broken. Is it possible to replace it without replacing or touching the mesh? Can I just insert the new latch into the frame?

Hello there!

The 70-048 Malta screen frame latch comes to mind. Take a look and see if the specifications match what you need.

As for installation, you could try to pull out the screen cloth and spline at the bottom corner going up a few inches to where you have to be to install the 70-048 clip. I have done this in the past. Sometimes you can get away without rescreening the complete screen. I can't make any promises but you can find our return policy here just in case.
