Replace old weatherstripping
I'm afraid I can't determine the precise size of your wool pile from just a photo of a tape measure. These can be very precise in size and in general we ask for customers to measure them as carefully as possible and write out what you get. I can then check our inventory for the right size.
If your pile is 1/4", then I don't think that our 58-050 is going to work. This is 7/16" x 7/16", which is much larger.
We unfortunately don't carry any wool pile that's 1/4" x 1/4". This kind of seal usually has more precise sizes, typically in the x/32" range. That's why we can't accurately ID a size based on just a photo of a tape measure. If you are unable to determine its precise size, you may want to consider a more precise measuring implement.
Another thing to consider is wear. It's very likely that your current pile is a hair or two smaller than it was when it was brand new. There's no exact science to working around that, you just have to measure it as accurately as you can and mentally adjust for wear after years of use and friction.
Sure, that's perfectly fine. I'll go ahead and email you a special link that will let you add a sample to your cart. This will be an inch or so long and is completely free; all you need to pay for is shipping. You can expect that shortly.
