I need to replace the weatherstripping on my patio slider. It's an 8'x 8' and the ws that's in appears to be finned pile (gray with a black piece thru the middle) the meas. is 3/16 wide and 1/4 pile high. The pile height has me a little befuddled. If i can get a 1/4 meas. and it's worn down, how can I be sure that is the correct meas.?
Also, it has gray in it now, would white be better?
thanks,
Bill

Hey, Bill, thanks for posting. Based on your specifications, I think you might want to look a tour 58-158, which measures 7/32" x 5/16".
When it comes to worn down wool pile, it's always hard to say what the original height was. You will just have to see how much of a gap there is when the weatherstripping is installed and use your best judgement.

Follow up to my previous ?...so your saying that 7/32 will be a fit for my 3/16?

7/32" isn't that far off from 3/16". It's a little bigger, but it's possible your base is worn down a bit. Either way, your wool pile also needs that center fin seal, so it narrows down the choices we have available. I think our 58-158 is the closest match we have to what you need, but you will have to take a look at it and see if you think you can get it to work in your window.
