Replacement 33" channel balances

Question

I need to replace some balances on my vinyl windows that are 16 years old.I've tried to match up the shoes and also the id numbers but there are no identical matches.I do know that the channels are 33 inches and the only stamped numbers on my balance are 32 and then a 3 after that ,it also says dp caldwell who may be the manufacture of this balance.

Do the shoes have to be identical matches or just very close to the originals.Im hoping you can help. Thanks ...Joe Samuelson
