Replacement

Quick Learner from Houston
Our window is 30" in height and 33" in width. They are difficult to open, it sounds like a spring inside is having a difficult time releasing tension. Do you have a replacement tension rod?

Thank you

Thanks for posting. You are correct, it sounds like the spring mechanism inside the spiral balance is damaged. From what I can see, I believe this is a non-tilt window. Please confirm. You will need to measure the diameter of the tube to confirm if it is either 3/8" or 5/8". We'll need the length of the outer tube, and a picture of whatever bracket or appendage is at the bottom of the spiral rod. You will need to remove the spiral balance from the window to do all this. See the here that details removal and replacement, and the video below which reiterates the details we'll need to help you find a replacement. Let me know if you have further questions.
