Weather shield window tension bar

I'm looking for a video to replace my tension bar I have a double tilt weather shield window

Hello,

I can't be sure but it sounds like you may be replacing the support balances. If so, you can start by looking over the videos replaced on this page depending on the type of hardware that your window uses. If you're still unsure, please show us photos of as much of the part as possible and we can go from there. Thank you.

It is a 32 TG tension bar not sure how to install do you have to take out the whole window jam on the sides. It's a spring not a spiral type

I see that you purchased the S751-33 (32TG) channel balances recently. These balances do require removing the jamb liner from the window in order to access the original balances and install the replacements as shown below.

What is the part number for the s hook I don't have a s hook on mine or can it fasten a different way

We offer the 19-029 and 19-030 S-clips but you should be able to check an intact balance from one of the windows to determine how it attaches at the top.

Not sure how to take the trim off there are no screws

These types of jamb liners are normally held in place by the window sashes applying pressure to the sides. You'll need to remove both the top and bottom sashes to remove the jamb liners. See the 19-029 short or 29-030 long S-Clips needed to attach the ribbed balances commonly used installed in these types of windows to the top of jamb liner.
