Replacement Balance For Peachtree WIndow

Question

I need to replace the balances on the lower sash of a Peachtree Ariel non-tilt window.

The existing balances have a channel length of 26-1/4 inches and a channel width of 9/16 inches.

The number stamped on one of the balances is "4260-1-GJ Caldwell" The number stamped on the other balance for the same sash is "4260 2 H I".

The window sash weighs 21-1/2 pounds.

Can you please tell me which replacement balance I need for this window.

Thanks for posting, Doug! Have you seen our S745-26 Peachtree channel balance? This appears to be very similar to your own hardware. I also suggest that you choose the 25.25-4 stamp option, which can support a window sash weight of 20 through, and including, 25 pounds.

Please keep in mind that the weight range information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
