Can you tell me what replacement I will need.
It is 30 inches long.

Thanks again for your patience as we looked into this balance. After extensive research, we have determined that we can replace this, but it will have to be a special order due to the design of the shoe and the stamp printed on the metal channel. Can you just tell me how many you need? Once I know that, I'll email you an order link and price quote for the requested quantity. Thank you!

Hi Tom. Many thanks for your reply. I require 4 block and tackle channels.

While writing i noticed that ballance tops and shoes are broken. The first photo is of the top in place. The second is of a broken one. It measures one and an eighth inches across the top, thirteen sixteenths inside the channel. Screws at a quarter of an inch and one and three eights from the top. The third photo is of the ballance shoe, nothing there but the screws are the same. Can you please help.

I would require 4 complete sets. In white.

I looked at your catalogue for tops and shoes but could not find a match. Hope you can help.

This broken part you're showing us here is called a top sash guide. We can probably replace this, but I will need more information before I can make a suggestion. If possible, can you remove an undamaged version of this top sash guide from the window and show us a clear picture of it from the front, and then another picture from the side? Think of it like a mug shot.

Then, please give me its dimensions to the best of your ability. Dimensions for top sash guides can be pretty specific, so it's important to be as precise as you can. Hi Tom

I found it.

It's ref 18-197.

When you said that the sizes are"pretty specific"you weren't kidding. In my 50yrs in the building industry i have never seen a size 27/32" on anything. But that is what it is.

I have shown a photo of the sash guide,it has been put in with silicone so I would have to break it to get it out.

Can I order 12 of these, i have 4 other windows in my apartment and most of the sash guides are broken. I guess it's the Florida heat that makes them brittle.

Out of interest i weighed the window it's 45lbs.

Awesome! I'm glad you found it. Yeah, top sash guides can be frustrating because not only are there a ton of them to choose from, but all of them look more or less the same aside from a few subtle measurements. It can be a lot, but you clearly have a good eye.
