Replacement Channel Balance

Question

Hi,

Looking to replace a pair of channel balances for a non-tilting window and would appreciate your assistance in selecting the correct parts. Please see attached images for relevant measurements, etc. My guess is that your Series 380 is the correct replacement but would like to rely on your expertise instead of my guess.

Another guess of mine is that the "26C" marking on the existing balance corresponds to your 27" Series 380 option 2630, but again please adivse on correct part :)

Hello, RK. Thanks for reaching out to us. I agree that our S380-27 is a strong possibility, but an equally good possibility is our S385-27. This is identical to our Series 380 except that the shoe depth is slightly off. No matter how slight the difference may be, though, it is very important and it could be a dealbreaker. I'll share a diagram below for you to review.

As for the stamp, you're correct: 26C very often corresponds to our 2730. If you have any doubts, you can always weigh your sash on a scale to verify. We have a chart on each balance's store page that tells you exactly how much weight each stamp supports.
