Replacement Channel Balance for Pacific Windows Corp Vinyl Windows

A home owner from Carlsbad, CA says:

I am looking for replacement channel balances for Pacific Windows Corp Vinyl (non tilt) windows. The channel balance cover is 30" in length and 1/2' in width. The marking on the balance cover says: "29 3 B SI". See attached pics for shoe and top styles--front and back. I would like the complete unit (channel balance cover, sprint, plastic top and shoe). Which channel balance should I order? Thanks, Mark

Hey, thanks for posting. I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.

Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match.

Thank you, Tom. How can I tell what the Sash Weight Range is? Mark

The best way to determine your sash weight is to remove the sash from the window and place it on a scale. Any common bathroom scale should do. Check out the video below to see how you can remove your sash from the window.
