Replacement Crank Handle and Mechansim

Question

Window handle not working. Can be forced to push the window out, but can't retract the window and the window doesn't sit firm. (Winds will cause window to rattle and bang.)

Handle arm says "U.S. PAT 4083264" + "CAN PAT 1979 45012"

Picture 8605: The adjacent window that works fine.
Picture 8606 + 8604: The problem window assembly with mechanism removed.
Pitcure 8607: The mechanism removed.

I've cleaned up the grease and wire brushed the screw ridges, but it doesn't stay assembled properly.

Thanks for writing in. It looks like the worm gear came out with the crank handle; when this happens, I'm afraid it means the entire operator has broken down and needs to be replaced. We can help you do this, but we'll need to see a picture of the entire operator, including the link arm(s), out of the window. From there, we'll do our best to narrow down a replacement for you if possible. Thanks.
