Thought I ordered the correct one. Now I'll leave it to your experts.
I would like a white one similar to item # 82-030, which I am returning.
The screw spacing is 3-15/16"

Hello! If the screw center spacing is 3-15/16", then I think our 82-030 will work well for your door. It should be fully compatible with your existing mortise.

I wasn't able to get the lock lever to work. My handle has a spacer shown in the second photo. I couldn't get the spacer to work on the handle 83-030. Could you please look at that again? I could also send another picture with measurements and a stack up of them.

Is the spacer necessary for the handle set to function? Did you try installing the 82-030 without it? The 82-030 isn't really meant to work with any kind of spacer, and in my experience it doesn't need one. In your case it looks to just be something that helps hold the thumb lever in place, but that's not really necessary for our hardware.
